Aboriginal scholarship - Hydro One deadline Jan 31 (Ontario)

Hydro One FNMI Award

Hydro One and its predecessor companies have been maintaining relationships with First Nations and Métis
communities for many years. Hydro One is also committed to increasing the representation of First Nations,
Métis and Inuit (FNMI) employees by encouraging and rewarding college and university students to consider
careers within the electricity industry. In 2011, Hydro One established the Hydro One FNMI Award – an
educational scholarship that supports FNMI students. The academic award will be granted annually to two
FNMI students (where possible, one male and one female) studying power industry related disciplines at a
recognized Ontario university or community college. The recipients will also be offered a developmental
work term at Hydro One.

Two awards are available annually to First Nations/Métis/Inuit students attending an Ontario university
or college.
The award value is $5000 for a university recipient or $3000 for a college recipient.
